The condition of Seven Ballesteros, who underwent brain surgery earlier this week to remove a tumour has deteriorated according to news reports.
A second procedure will be performed to releive a build up of fluid on the brain.
Ballesteros collapsed last week and was sent to hospital for tests which uncovered the tumour.

After fainting last week and undergoing tests, Seve Ballesteros has been diagnosed with a brain tumour.
In a statement, Seve said ” I inform you that after an exhaustive check that was realised at Hospital La Paz, a brain tumour has been detected…During my career I was one of the best at getting around obstacles on golf courses. Now I want to be the best at confronting the most difficult match of my life with all my strength.”
He will undergo a biopsy on Tuesday, and doctors will then decide how to proceed.

The big news in the golfing world today is the collapse of the Spanish wizard, Seve Ballesteros. After feeling dizzy and fainting, Ballesteros was admitted to a Madrid hospital where he has undergone tests and is in a stable condition.
Ballesteros is a five time major winner, with 2 Masters and 3 British Opens under his belt.

Tiger Woods is expected to be out of action for up to 18 months following major knee surgery after his US Open win.
It certainly says something about Tiger’s phenomonal golfing ability, to win a major tournament with a bung knee.
But if, as he claims, he can’t rotate or practice on that knee for 18 months, what shape will he be in when he comes back? Maybe the rest of the PGA will have a chance!

The United States has finally won back the Ryder Cup from Europe, who have held it for the past 3 tournaments. After the foursomes and fourball rounds, they raced to a 9-7 lead, and took the extra 5½ points they needed to win in the singles. Posting a 16½-11½ win, the biggest margin in 27 years, they were never really threatened by the European team.
